Liam Gallagher
William John Paul Gallagher (born 21 September 1972) is an English singer and songwriter. He rose to fame as the lead singer of the rock band Oasis in the 1990s and 2000s, and later fronted the rock band Beady Eye in the early 2010s, before beginning a solo career after the dissolution of both bands. One of the most recognisable figures in British music, he is noted for his outspoken and abrasive manner; penchant for wearing parkas; distinctive singing style, in which he elongates vowels; and signature stance on stage, which consists of him holding his arms behind his back and singing up into a downward-facing microphone.

Latitude cancels 2020 festival due to coronavirus and urges fans to ‘keep safe and healthy’

Latitude Festival has been cancelled for 2020, festival organisers have confirmed. Taking to Twitter on Monday, it was revealed in a statement that Latitude will no longer be going ahead this year due to the current coronavirus pandemic.

Previously confirmed to headline the 2020 festival were HAIM, Liam Gallagher and The Chemical Brothers. Festival organisers confirmed that Latitude will instead return in 2021, as they tweeted: ‘We’re sorry to announce that Latitude 2020 will no longer be going ahead.’ A statement included read: ‘Latitude Festival will no longer be taking place this year. ‘We’ve been closely monitoring this unprecedented situation and it’s become clear that it’s just not possible for this year’s festival to go ahead.
