The LAPD has declared another citywide tactical alert Wednesday as"Count Every Vote" marches are set to take place around Los Angeles while President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden are locked in a tight race.
The department declared the alert, which effectively means that all officers are called in to work, around 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday "to ensure sufficient resources to address any incidents that may arise as a result of Election Day activities." The alert added that this is "not the result of any specific incident." It's the second tactical alert for the department in two days, as the police seek to respond to any potential unrest that may result from the still-unconcluded election.
