Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. He has judged on the British television talent competition series Pop Idol (2001–2003), The X Factor (2004–2010, 2014–present) and Britain's Got Talent (2007–present), and the American television talent competition series American Idol (2002–2010), The X Factor (2011–2013), and America's Got Talent (2016–present). A Coatbridge musician is bringing “a slice of Ibiza to Monklands” with a innovative afternoon party next month. Matthew Ruddy is hoping the Sax to the Max event will hit the right note with revellers and become a regular addition to the area’s entertainment scene.

The 22-year-old is in the fourth and final year of his BMusic degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and this marks the first time he has organised a musical occasion on this scale.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
