A Lanarkshire Highland Games competitor has revealed his heartbreak at missing out in competing at the world championships due to the US travel ban.
Paul Dearie had qualified for the Masters World Championships which is being held in Austin, Texas this weekend. However, the American travel ban to UK travellers does not come to an end until tomorrow, November 8, meaning Paul missed out on competing for the world title by a couple of days.
