Lanarkshire GP practice only speaking to 'urgent' patients

A Lanarkshire doctor's surgery, hindered by ongoing staffing issues, has now told patients that they should only contact the practice if it is "urgent".

The message from Stonelaw Practice, which is based in Rutherglen health centre, warned that from today, Tuesday, July 19, until Thursday, the surgery will be facing "the most difficult days".

Lanarkshire Live previously told how messages were sent out last week informing patients that the practice was facing staffing issues during the summer, due to a combination of long-term sick leave and staff being away on holiday.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
