Lanarkshire community council offer funding to local groups making 'positive changes' in the area

A Lanarkshire community council are offering funding to help boost local groups.Cambuslang Community Council will be inviting applications for their small grants scheme from September 1 onwards.

Dozens of groups have earned extra funding in recent years thanks to the initiative, which the community group say will help support organisations that provide "positive change" for Cambuslang.

"This is the fourth year we have had the pleasure of administering these grants and we are delighted that they have benefited many local groups, helping them to carry out a wide range of activities within the community."We recognise that this year more than ever, many groups will need a bit of extra support and even a small grant can make a huge difference, so we are encouraging local groups in Cambuslang West to apply.Individuals, groups, and organisations within the Cambuslang West districts of Central Cambuslang, Circuit, Eastfield, Greenlees, Silverbank, and Whitlawburn can get involved."The purpose of the grants is to enable individuals and groups to have access to funds which will enhance the quality of life for residents in
