Shadow Foreign Secretary Lisa Nandy has criticised a Labour MP for posting about breaking social distancing rules while attending a Black Lives Matter protest.
Former front bencher Barry Gardiner joined the demonstration outside Parliament yesterday. But in it he appeared to celebrate breaking social distancing rules.
Mr Gardiner tweeted a picture of himself standing very close to fellow protestors. He captioned the picture: "Been social distancing since March.
Today I broke it to join the #BlackLivesMatter demo outside Parliament." London Mayor Sadiq Khan backed the protests yesterday, but begged people who attended to stay two metres apart to stop the risk of coronavirus spreading.
