For many years Kirkcudbright Academy has sent all its S1 pupils on a residential trip to the Lake District early in the autumn term.The primary aim was to bring pupils from the different primary schools together in order to start to form new friendships and a cohesive Kirkcudbright Academy S1 year group.
Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic has meant that they were unable to do this last year and the same is true of this year.In order to help address this situation, Kirkcudbright Academy, working in partnership with Kirkcudbright Rotary Club, booked activity days at Abernethy, Barcaple, for all of its S1 students.Group sizes were kept small in order to make the trip manageable so the year group made the trip across two days with the alternate
