Kieran Trippier has denied placing any bets himself or receiving payment from others betting on his behalf after the Atletico Madrid star was charged by the FA for breaching their gambling rules.
The England international now faces a lengthy ban from football and a fine if he is found guilty and he has now responded to the charge.
In a statement, Trippier said: "I have fully complied with the FA's investigation over the past several months on a voluntary basis and will continue to do so. "I want to make it clear that while a professional footballer, I have a no stage placed any football related bets or received any financial benefit from others betting."
