The Russian was set to take on Ferguson in the headline event at UFC 249 on April 18. It had been previously speculated that Khabib would be kept from travelling to the United States from Dagestan due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The disease has struck the world viciously, with travel bans placed across the planet. It has hit a number of sports, such as the Premier League, NFL and NBA - which have all been placed on hold.
