While most children are encouraged to share their toys, one mum has claimed that sharing is akin to stealing and admitted she instructs her daughter to hold on to her toys.
Laura Mazza thinks that children learning that they don't always have to share their toys teaches them the power of saying no.
Mum to Luca, six, Sofia, four, and two-year-old James, the Australian posted her seemingly controversial thoughts to her Instagram page.
Her daughter, who has autism, is especially attached to a particular toy which she was recently asked to share with other children at the playground.The parent of the other child simply said "sharing is caring"and allowed her little one to run away with Laura’s daughter’s prized toy.
