Kate Garraway has issued an apology to one of the stars of last year's Strictly Come Dancing as she revealed how her daughter accosted him at the National Television Awards at a rather crucial moment.

The Good Morning Britain presenter headed to the star-studded ceremony earlier this week alongside her children - Darcey and Billy.

The award completed a hat-trick in the authored documentary category for Kate, with her claiming it was 'bittersweet' after the film followed the final year of her husband Derek's life before he died in January aged 56 after a lengthy battle with the long-term effects of Covid.
