Prince William and Kate Middleton showed their “cheeky” side while attending the EE Bafta film awards on Sunday night, a body language expert has said.
During the occasion, which was held at London’s stunning Royal Festival Hall, the Prince and Princess of Wales joined celebrities including Jamie Lee Curtis and Vera Wang to walk the red carpet.
But although the royals are known for rarely showing their affectionate sides in public, the couple delighted fans as they could be seen engaging in a series of PDAs, which even saw 41 year old Kate pat her husband, 40, on the bum.
And according to one body language expert, the couple’s red carpet appearance is likely to shine a light on what William and Kate are like behind closed doors. “It’s clear that Kate and Prince William had a great time at the BAFTAs.They looked like a couple who were showing some fun and intimate public displays of affection,” said Andy Coley, who is an award-winning NLP Trainer, in an exclusive chat with OK!. “The red carpet walk in particular showed that they really had affection for each other, from walking side by side, Prince William leaning in to share a joke with Catherine and the pat on the bum that William received.” The body language expert added that William and Kate’s connection came across as being “genuine” and showed the couple as a pair who were close in their relationship. “This sense of informal connection and cheekiness is not something people do when they are strained or distant in their relationship,” he explained. “William walks with his left arm out towards Catherine, almost in a bid for her to hold it, a sign of support.
