K-Pop fans have once again taken part in some online activism, this time drowning out the #WhiteLivesMatter hashtag with fancams.
After racist posts started to emerge under the hashtag on Twitter following the Black Lives Matter protests, K-Pop fans took to flooding the site with clips of their favourite idols to ensure they were the only posts that were visible.
Posting thousands of clips and images of their favourite bands in order to hijack the hashtag, others soon noticed what the fan armies were trying to do.
Many took to Twitter to praise the fans, writing: ‘K-Pop fans completely hijacking the #WhiteLivesMatterhashtag makes me so proud’ and ‘Yea… I’m living for this s**t.
