The war veteran captivated hearts across the world with his 100 laps of his garden challenge, pledging any money raised to go to the NHS.
Tom, who turned 100 yesterday and was promoted to honorary colonel for the occasion - spoke of his joy at the “fabulous figure” raised.
But rumours have been circulating that the fundraising site is keeping £2 million commission of Tom’s total on a series of Facebook posts that have been liked and shared thousands of times.
