Jurgen Klopp and Frank Lampard as the two old enemies renewed rivalries at Anfield on Sunday. Klopp and Lampard famously clashed in 2020 when the latter was manager of Chelsea, with Lampard telling his German counterpart to "f*** off." No lip-readers were required this time around, but it was clear that the feeling between the two Merseyside bosses had not abated in the intervening years.
With Anfield again the setting, the pair faced off towards the end of a fractious first half between Liverpool and Everton. Klopp seemed to disagree with Lampard about something and marched over with his arms outstretched towards the Toffees boss.
The pair met in between the two dugouts in an exchange that lasted only a few seconds. Klopp pointed towards something out on the pitch as the warring bosses delivered their respective points of view.
It follows a similar altercation between the two during a Premier League clash between Liverpool and Chelsea at Anfield in July 2020.
