Brown now attached to star as well as executive produce.Variety exclusively reported that the project had received a script commitment with penalty attached at Hulu in September 2019.Based on the Esi Edugyan novel of the same name, the nine-episode series follows the 19th-century adventures of George Washington “Wash” Black – an 11-year-old boy on a Barbados sugar plantation who must flee after a shocking death threatens to upend his life.

Judas and the Black Messiah writer-director-producer Shaka King is expanding his work in television, signing a first-look deal with FX Productions. Under the pact, King will develop new TV series for FX through his recently launched production company I’d Watch That, with the company’s co-founder Brandon Harris.

His unfulfilled wife Helen (Gonzaga) is propelled into a life of danger and adventure when she’s recruited to work alongside him to save the world as they try to revitalize their passionless marriage.Miller will star as Gib, the logistics guy for the group.

All are credited as co-creators and executive producers on the new series, with Uyeshiro, Gonzalez, and Haft also serving as co-showrunners.“Co-creating and running ‘On My Block’ was and will always be a highlight of my life,” Iungerich said.

Kaepernick explained during his introduction of the clip that the six-part narrative drama produced with Ava DuVernay focuses on his high school years growing up in Turlock, Calif., a mid-sized city 100 miles east of San Jose, as the Black adopted son of white parents in a largely white community.

The news comes on the four year anniversary of the original “Teen Wolf” finale on MTV.In addition to the “Teen Wolf” movie, Davis will also develop a new series for the streamer based on Edo Van Belkom’s “Wolf Pack” books, with Davis serving as showrunner on that series.
