Josh Taylor needed less than three minutes to stop Apinun Khongsong and retain his world titles. The Scot was fighting for the first time since he unified the super-lightweight division with victory over Regis Prograis last October.
But having teamed up with new trainer Ben Davison, Taylor will have learned little from this run-out. The champion landed a left hand to the body inside the final minute of the first round which left Khongsong writhing on the ground.
The Thai fighter, who was previously unbeaten but also untested, was still on the canvas several minutes later before he was helped to his feet.
