Former Chelsea captain John Terry has recalled the time Jose Mourinho ripped into both himself and defensive partner Gary Cahill for giving the ball away in training - warning the pair he would “go and spend £100m on a couple of other centre-backs”.
Terry enjoyed a close relationship with Mourinho, who guided the Blues to back-to-back Premier League titles, two League Cups and the FA Cup in his first spell in charge.
After being sacked in 2007, he returned for a second stint at Stamford Bridge six years later, picking up another title and League Cup before falling victim to the axe again at the end of 2015.
