John Boyega has defended his right to speak out against racism in the US. The British actor, best known for playing Finn in the Stars Wars sequel trilogy, said he does not want to “work in fear” when he is in America, where he spends half the year working on acting projects.
Boyega, 28, has been vocal on Twitter about the unrest which is happening in the US, that was triggered by the death of George Floyd.
Last week in Minneapolis, Floyd - a 46-year-old black man - died after pleading for air as a white police officer pressed his knee into his neck.
