Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current president of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality. Trump was born and raised in the New York City borough of Queens, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan.

The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. Forbes estimates his net worth to be $3.1 billion.

Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. (born November 20, 1942) is an American politician who served as the 47th vice president of the United States from 2009 to 2017 and represented Delaware in the U.S. Senate from 1973 to 2009. A member of the Democratic Party, Biden is the presumptive Democratic nominee for president in the 2020 election. He unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and in 2008.

Joe Biden’s success in winning the US presidential election means a dog will return to the White House again – and dog lovers are relieved.The Democratic president-elect and his wife Jill Biden will bring their two German shepherds, Champ and Major, with them in January.It will be the first time in four years a canine has lived in the residence of the US President, as Republican Donald Trump didn’t like dogs.Trump was the first US President in decades not to have a pet, breaking a long-standing tradition of having a dog as part of the first family.Biden’s pooch Major will also mark another milestone, as it will be the first rescue dog to enter the White House.The Bidens have had Champ since 2008, and fostered Major in 2018 from the Delaware.
