Manchester United cult hero Ji Sung Park has spoken honestly about his heartbreak over being left out the 2008 Champions League final squad.
Park played in both games against Barcelona in the semi-finals, performing well defensively when coming up against Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi.
The former South Korea international had become a trusted figure for Sir Alex Ferguson, and he regularly called upon him in important, season-defining matches.
After impressing in the semi-final, Park said he certainly expected to be in the team. However, Ferguson would tell him in the morning of the game that he would not be in the match-day squad.
