Sir Alex Ferguson joked ‘the top striker is here now’ as he made his way over to Alan Shearer and Les Ferdinand’s table at a recent charity event.
The three men all attended a golf day at Loch Lomond earlier in October, which helped raise an incredible £282,060 for the Emmie Smillie charity foundation.
A number of legends from the football world also took part, the others including Sir Kenny Dalglish, Shay Given and Walter Smith.
Prior to the event, Sir Alex made a light-hearted reference to his own playing days when he led the line for Rangers and a number of other Scottish clubs.
