Sergio Aguero says Manchester City's Champions League struggles during his time at the Etihad held him back from winning the Ballon d'Or.
Aguero became City's record goalscorer during a hugely successful ten year spell at the club, also leaving as the Premier League's top foreign scorer as well as winning 15 trophies.
However, despite scoring 260 goals, as well as 73 assists in just 390 appearances, Aguero was never considered for individual awards in England, let alone in the worldwide Ballon d'Or running.
It's an oversight that will be looked back upon with confusion in years to come, and Aguero has now admitted to questioning why he was regularly overlooked himself.
