Jet2holidays has extended the suspension of trips to Spain and the Balearic Islands. The tour operator is cancelling all holidays to mainland Spain and the Balearics up to August 29, Travel Weekly has reported.
All holidays up to August 30 have been automatically cancelled and refunded, the operator reportedly told travel agents. The Foreign Office continues to advise against all non-essential travel to mainland Spain and the Spanish Islands, following a spike in cases.
But the travel firm has not changed the date that it is set to resume holidays to the Canary Islands, with flights set to resume on August 23.
Jet2holidays also plans to resume flights to the Algarve on August 24. Portugal has now been removed from the quarantine list,
