‘Jaws’ stage musical set for Paper Mill Playhouse in summer 2021

nypost.comJust when you thought it was safe to go back in the theater. “Bruce,” a musical about the filming of director Steven Spielberg’s 1975 horror classic “Jaws,” will hit the shores of the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, New Jersey, from June 9 to July 4, 2021.
The musical — featuring the tagline “A man, a mechanical shark, and the making of a masterpiece” — is based on the 1975 memoir “The Jaws Log” by screenwriter Carl Gottlieb.
The show will chronicle the “beleaguered” production of the movie, which depicts a string of attacks by a shark — an animatronic beast nicknamed “Bruce” by the filmmakers — that sinks its teeth into beachgoers in a New England town.
