The Fifty Shades of Grey star isto lead The Tourist, the Australia-set mystery thriller from Two Brothers Pictures, the Emmy-winning production company behind Fleabag and The Missing.
Danielle Macdonald, Shalome Brune-Franklin and Hugo Weaving have also joined the cast for the six-part series, which HBO Max has now boarded for U.S.
rights alongside German public broadcaster ZDF and is due to start production later this year. As first revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, the series was commissioned by the BBC and Australian partner Stan in early 2020.
