ITV's reboot of hit crime drama series Van Der Valk premiered tonight, but some fans were left bitterly disappointed after the show's "iconic" theme music had been scrapped.
Actor Marc Warren made his debut this evening as crimefighter Simon "Piet" Van der Valk in the three part series. The re-imagined version from the 70s kicked off tonight as Van der Valk investigated the murder of two political activists in Amsterdam.
However some fans were upset at the lack of theme tune, though the mini series did pay a little nod to the original music. But upset viewers took to Twitter to vent their frustration, with one tweeting: "@ITV How can even consider #VanDerValk without THAT theme music? #fail."
