Prince William and wife Kate Middleton have spent their time in a lavish hotel on their controversial Caribbean tour.The Duke and Duchess' trip may have been criticised for its potential political outcome, but the royal couple enjoyed the lap of Caribbean luxury on their visit to the region.A stay at a Bahamas resort offered the second-in-line to country's throne some high-class luxuries including Nobu sushi and plenty of rum punch.The royal couple stayed at The Cove at Atlantis Paradise Island in a 4,830 square-foot penthouse suite, with the room boasting three rooms, wrap-around ocean views and a large living area.The lavish pad also boasts an office, full-service kitchen and a 10-set dining area and on-site staff report the couple have been thoroughly enjoying their time together.A source said: "They were so friendly to the staff at the resort, smiling at guests they passed.

It did look like they enjoyed their stay."They added that despite the busy schedule for the couple, the pair appeared "happy" and "relaxed" when at the hotel, and that the pair had "came back from sailing in the rain" and were "drenched and returned to the resort laughing".The Duchess was also overheard talking about FaceTiming her three children to show them the beach view from their suite.The couple didn't just enjoy the lavish living but treated themselves to some fine cuisine too, with one source saying the pair had "ordered rum punch two nights in a row."They added: "On their first night, the Duke asked for pepperoni pizza.
