The SpaceX rocket has completed an important step in its historic journey and successfully docked with the International Space Station.
Astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley make up the crew of the Falcon-9 rocket which blasted off from the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida on Saturday.
The rocket was seen in the skies above Scotland after families stood outside to watch it blast into orbit. The American crewmen made their final approach to the ISS in the Dragon capsule built by billionaire Elon Musk's company.
