Pete Davidson 's latest film The King of Staten Island has been mysteriously pulled from cinemas in the US with "no explanation" as to why.
The semi-autobiographical film follows Scott, a man in his mid-twenties who is seriously struggling with a form of arrested development.
But despite the blockbuster being set to premiere at cinemas across the US on Friday, it was pulled at the 11th hour and instead released on video only.
A cinema owner told Variety : “There was no explanation [from Universal]. They changed their mind.” Another told the publication: “This caused a considerable amount of ill will with customers who bought tickets online showing up for the Thursday 7pm show.” The film's director Judd Apatow took to Twitter last week
