Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar on Sunday and journalist Glenn Greenwald traded barbs on Twitter after Greenwald said Omar defended former CIA Director John Brennan and the Logan Act.
It started when Omar responded to a tweet from Greenwald saying the FBI should investigate Brennan for Logan Act violations.
Brennan had condemned the killing of Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh as "criminal" and "highly reckless" in a Friday tweet.
The law punishes individuals involved in foreign government affairs without permission and is often cited in relation to the 2017 Russia Investigation.
