The 32-year-old mum was on a family day out to celebrate her two-year-old child's birthday, it is reported. Witnesses claim the woman went over the safety bar on the Formula 1 ride at Parc Saint-Paul, near Beauvais, and her husband tried to save her.
They told how they heard screams as the tragedy unfolded, and saw distraught children crying in the aftermath on Saturday afternoon.
