Hundreds of students are marching through London calling for the education secretary to quit. Around 300 are protesting around Parliament Square chanting "Get Gav Gone" in reference to Gavin Wiliamson, following the A-level results shambles this week.

Tens of thousands of students had their predicted grades dramatically lowered by an algorithm, causing many to miss out on their university places.

Many of the signs carried by the demonstrators call for the education secretary's resignation over the results. Lewder chants were directed at Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Eton College.
