Footage has shown more than 100 people turning out for a travellers’ funeral, seemingly breaking social distancing and coronavirus lockdown restrictions.
Large crowds gathered outside a church in Cork, Ireland, this morning to pay their respects to two brothers who recently passed away.
A short video taken outside Farranree Church shows the pavement filled with mourners. Many appear to be closer than the two metres outlined by social distancing guidelines.
Officers from An Garda Siochana, the police service of Ireland, can be seen directing traffic away from the crowds. CorkBeo report that locals were concerned at the number of people gathering in close proximity outside the church.
