Huge crowds flocked to the Christmas market in Edinburgh on Friday after Nicola Sturgeon issued a 'stay at home' warning. The First Minister asked people to stay at home to try and avoid a full lockdown yesterday afternoon.
But following the urgent message worried locals in the capital left the market after seeing the huge crowds queuing up to get in, reports Edinburgh Live.
The residents raised concerns concerns after picturing hundreds of revellers enjoying the festivities.One local said: “It was crazy, there were big long queues of people snaking down a line at the entrance on Market Street.“We stay near so didn’t have to travel but when we got there and there were so many people it made us turn back.“It will just need to wait this year
