Spencer, a new film from Jackie director Pablo Larraín about Diana, Princess of Wales, with Kristen Stewart in the title role.

In a remarkably fast turnaround, it's already being prepared for release later this autumn and will premiere at the Venice International Film Festival on Friday evening.Across three days of Christmas celebrations at Sandringham in 1991, the new project will show the Princess coming to terms with the end of her marriage, and all prospects of her ever becoming Queen.

It’s a realisation which, in the early ‘90s, played out in the public eye as the Wales’ relationship grew increasingly fractious.
