Residents woke up to the sight of a blood-splattered garden and a huge police cordon in Cheetham Hill on Saturday (February 13).
Officers were called to reports of a stabbing on Spur Walk near Broomfield Drive just after 4am. A man was found with serious lacerations to his forearms, hip, thigh and lower leg.
The 49-year-old also suffered severe damage to his fingers. He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition. Police say his injuries are 'life-changing'.Some people said the were scared to leave their homes.
