Chesterfield manager Paul Cook cut a reporter’s call short. National League side Chesterfield are witnessing their promotion hopes dwindle after a horrendous run of form which has seen them win just two of their last nine matches.
Cook, 55, returned to manage Chesterfield in February this year, but has steered the club away from being one point off the league leaders to seventh in the table.That prompted journalist Rob Staton to question Cook on the Spireites’ poor recent displays, which in turn triggered a scathing backlash from the manager.
Cook refused to answer any more “negative” questions, before asking to “end the interview” having been probed further.One Twitter user wrote: “What a horrendous interview from Paul Cook.
