Now that the Jubilee bank holiday period is over, many of us may be itching for another free day off work. After this weekend you will have to wait a few months for the next bank holiday which will be taking place on August 29 - the summer bank holiday.
Believe it or not, the UK used to have a whopping 33 official holidays on the calendar, mainly consisting of saints days and religious celebrations.

There is only one other country in the world that has fewer bank holidays than us - Mexico - which has seven official public holidays.
