After a two-year absence due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the British Soap Awards will return for 2022 on ITV. The usual annual event sees the UK’s biggest soaps compete against each other to bag the night’s variety of awards.
Live on ITV and the ITV Hub, host Phillip Schofield returns to roll out the red carpet for actors and actresses representing Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.
It is the pinnacle of awards for the TV genre, and is an event eagerly anticipated by soap lovers. The two-hour programme will take place at The Hackney Empire in London and will be shown live on ITV. On top of this list of categories, the winners of the prestigious Outstanding Achievement Award and The Tony Warren Award will be announced on the night.
