The stars of our favourite soaps are set to be celebrated as the British Soap Awards returns to screens. The casts of Hollyoaks, Doctors, Coronation Street, Emmerdale and EastEnders dressed up to the nines and headed to The Lowry theatre at Salford Quays on Saturday night for the glitzy awards bash.

After a two-year absence due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the British Soap Awards will return for 2022 on ITV. The usual annual event sees the UK’s biggest soaps compete against each other to bag the night’s variety of awards.

Doctors star Laura White looks worlds away from her character Princess Bunchanan in a glam throwback snap.The 25-year-old actress joined the cast of the BBC One soap in March this year.She left fans in hot sweat back in June 2018 as she posed up a storm for the camera wearing a plunging red dress.The show-stopping gown showed off Laura's curves in all the right places as she enjoyed a night out with her pals.She completed her look with some subtle makeup and a pair of killer heels.In one snap, Laura can be seen striking a pose for a mirror selfie and in the second photograph, Laura smiles next to three of her friends.She captioned her Instagram post: "On Thursdays we wear reeeeed" alongside three red lip emojis.Unsurprisingly Laura's smoking-hot social media display caught the attention of her followers, with some rushing to leave a message for the star in the comment section.One fan penned: "Yes queen. You look" alongside a flame emoji.Another added: "Beyond beautiful."A third person posted: "You are unreal."While a fourth gushed: "Loving this look Laura, especially the hair!"Laura's character Princess is left feeling the heat after being caught out by both Bear Sylvester (Dex Lee) and Sid Vere (Ashley Rice) in upcoming Doctors scenes set to air on BBC One this week.However, the crafty trainee GP is ready to do whatever it takes to save face.Viewers are aware that Princess has been out of her depth since she arrived and cutting corners.Sid decides he's going to step down as Princess's training mentor at The Mill after what has happened.Unfortunately, Sid makes the mistake of telling Princess of his intentions.
