Johnny Depp‘s new directorial outing Modi, starring Al Pacino, have been released – you can view them below.The upcoming biopic tells the story of Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani, known as “Modi” to his friends, and is based on Dennis McIntyre’s play Modigliani, with a screenplay by Jerzy and Mary Kromolowski.The synopsis for the story, which takes place over 48-hour period, reads: “On the run from the police, Modi’s desire to end his career and leave the city is dismissed by fellow Bohemians: French artist Maurice Utrillo, the Belarusian-born Chaim Soutine and his English muse and lover, Beatrice Hastings. Modi seeks advice from his Polish art dealer and friend Leopold Zborowski, but the chaos reaches a crescendo when he’s faced with a collector who could change his life.”In the first-look images below, Depp is seen directing his cast, including Pacino who plays real-life French art collector Maurice Gangnat.⁠A post shared by Variety (@variety)The upcoming film, which has now wrapped production, marks the first time Depp and Pacino have worked together since 1997’s Donnie Brasco.

Anne Heche's ex-boyfriend and Hung co-star Thomas Jane files suit over mostly unpaid $150,000 loan
Thomas Jane, who dated Anne Heche briefly beginning back in 2019, has filed a lawsuit against her estate over an unpaid loan, according to People. The 53-year-old actor alleges the deceased actress borrowed $157,000 from him prior to her death. The lawsuit claims that Heche agreed to pay back the loan in $10,000 monthly installments beginning in August 2021.  Lawsuit: Thomas Jane, who dated Anne Heche briefly beginning back in 2019, has filed a lawsuit against her estate over an unpaid loan, according to People (pictured 2020)Jane claims Heche paid him the first two installments but still owes him $149,106.04 because of interest and late charges.  According to the suit, the Donnie Brasco actress owes Jane $137,000 in the principal, $9,814.79 in interest (as of November 8) and $2,291.85 in late charges. The Punisher actor is also suing for $18.77 per day in growing interest, according to the publication. Jane and Heche started dating in 2019 but split before her death though exactly how long is unclear. Anne Heche’s final movie, Girl In Room 13, is still set to be released in September, weeks after her death. The actress, best known for starring in movies such as Six Days and Seven Nights and Donnie Brasco, was declared brain dead on Friday August 12 after she suffered fatal injuries in a horrific car crash on August 5. The network behind her final on-screen appearance, Lifetime, has since confirmed that it will continue to launch the movie in September as originally planned.  Director, Elisabeth Rohm praised Heche’s final performance as ‘phenomenal’ as she tackles the gritty role of a mother who’s daughter is abducted into human sex trafficking. Elisabeth began: ‘We’re all so dedicated to the cause, stopping violence against women… all of us, especially Larissa [Dias] who played this victim, are committed to that cause.’ The director added that the cast had spoken about the importance of standing up against abuse, before praising Heche for her dedication to the role, as she remained in a coma.   ‘Although [Heche] is deeply missed, right now, I will say the film is finished and she did a phenomenal performance — a tour de force much like Larissa,’ she continued. After Heche’s death, Elisabeth shared a tribute to the star and commended her for how ‘committed’ she was throughout her life to protect women and be ‘a voice against abuse.’ She told People: ‘Every single morning, [Heche] would come to set and she said, “We will not stand for abuse!” And she would pump her fist and have this just beautiful, bright smile. ‘She was so committed to making an incredibly deep, profound, important performance.’Elisabeth also reflected on Heche’s personal life as she shared: ‘Anne was very open about the abuse she sustained in her
