Casualty star always lifts spirits at this time of year with the festive feel-good movie but sadly, the Oscar- winner will be going it alone this year, revealing that The Season To Be Jolly is instead going to be a "dark and lonely" one for her.
Speaking on Ray D'Arcy's Radio 1 show, she said: "I'm doing well, I'm hanging on like everyone else."When asked how she'd be spending Christmas Brenda revealed that she'd be spending it by herself again, which can be 'very dark'".The Irish-born actress went on: "I'm 75 now, and I would be lying if I said it would be a nice and happy Christmas because I'm old and I live alone.
