His other work for ITV includes All Star Mr & Mrs (2008–2016), The Cube (2009–2015), and 5 Gold Rings (2017–present). Schofield gained national attention working for the BBC, first as a continuity presenter for Children's BBC on weekdays from 1985 to 1987, then as a presenter on the children's Saturday morning magazine show Going Live! between September 1987 and April 1993.

Holly Willoughby fudged her lines on Monday's This Morning, having been confused by the layout of their script.Her co-star Phillip Schofield was quick to pick up on the mishap, as he teasingly accused her of "messing up" the segment.It all kicked off when Holly, 40, was instructed to read the timetable for the day, with a special on DIY Easter Decorations airing at 11.35am.However, on the script, the time was described as 25 minutes to 12 - with the numbers leaving Holly confused.Spoiling her lines, she admitted the fact that she'd never read out "25 to 12" before had tampered with her presenting skills.Phil picked up on her confusion, asking: "Holding on by your fingernails?"
