three-bedroom flat has caused controversy after one bedroom was compared to a “prison cell”.Based in Woolwich, south-east London, the apartment is located inside the former Woolwich Magistrates Court – a Grade II listed building built in 1912.And while two of the bedrooms are spacious, have tons of light and actually quite a catch for London's mad property market, one bedroom in the property, which is valued at £1,800 per month, is the total opposite. One bedroom in the apartment could quite easily be confused for a storage cupboard, if it were not for the window, curtain and radiator shoved at the back.It just about fits a single bed, but the occupant would have to exit it from the end, not the sides. But as it sits on the new Elizabeth Line, which makes it less than 15 minutes travel from central London, there are some who might consider the space worth paying for.

In the listing - let by OpenRent - it says the tiny room can be used as a study space, but it comes fitted with a single bed and wardrobe.

One user online laughed: "Prisoners in Sweden live better than Londoners." Another joked: "You're doing 20 years for £1.8k a month." The advert says: "This beautiful apartment consists of two double rooms and one single room which can be used as a study room or bedroom. "It has its own single bed and double wardrobe. "This conversion is furnished to the highest standard with a leather sofa, high ceilings, huge entrance hall, wood flooring, newly fitted kitchen and bathroom with white brick feature walls as well as a utility room and additional storage. "This beautiful apartment is full of character and definitely worth a view." It is walking distance from shops, transportation and Woolwich High Street.
