Elizabeth Line opened its doors to the public - and passengers have already given their verdicts. The new Crossrail tube service will let Londoners and tourist travel between the east and west parts of London in less time.Queen Elizabeth II opened her namesake line last night and it is now running a service every five minutes from Paddington Station to Abbey Wood.Anyone who wants to go and experience the new line might be wondering what they can do along the way.After all, if you’re not commuting on the Elizabeth Line you might as well make a day out of the experience.Alongside on-train Wi-Fi, air-conditioning and shiny new platforms there’s plenty of weird and wonderful things to do along the line.Check out our favourites below:At the beginning of your journey you may spot the statue of Paddington Bear on Platform 1 of the station.The sweet sculpture sits at the beginning of a walk that takes you to see a total of 22 sculptures throughout the Paddington area.You can hunt them down quickly, or use the time to spot the best architecture and historical sites in the area.And, you can get plenty of snaps with the cartoon character.Every Friday, at midday, the Rolling Bridge on the Grand Union Canal unfurls to create a footbridge over a small inlet.Based in the Paddington Basin you can watch this moving bridge settling into place before eventually curling back up into a mysterious ball.While it may be a museum, this attraction is the perfect place to go for anyone interested in economics, history and… gold.The Bank of England Museum looks at three hundred years or more of English coinage and is completely free.There’s a while section on money which looks at the move from gold bars, to coins to bank notes.And, they even show.
