Heywood has been hit with a dispersal order after a group of youths were seen carrying knives on Sunday evening. Police were called to a disturbance in the town centre on Sunday, February 13.

They are now asking parents in the area: "Do you know where your child is?" The order will remain in place until 2am on Thursday, February 16.
Police will have the powers to direct a person who has, or is likely to commit antisocial behaviour, to leave the area and not return for a period of up to 48 hours.
