But now the rock 'n' roll legends are expected to announce they are heading back to Europe, and could headline Hyde Park festival in June as well as a number of other UK dates.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted a mysterious note that appeared on the Festaff website recently, asking for volunteers to help at the BST event in Hyde Park on June 25.
No artist has yet been named to play that empty Saturday slot, but the site suggested that the artist headliner would be the Rolling Stones.
