A single mother quit her Hermes job as she felt like she was "dying inside" as she was tasked with delivering a staggering 100 parcels every day.

Lori Addison-Simmons, 45, said she "gritted her teeth" to carry on with her job at Hermes as she is a single mother needing to provide for her two children.

But she described feeling "depressed and anxious" and being like a "robot" while working for the delivery company - which she joined in January, StokeonTrentLive reports.

Lori would load her car at the firm's Fenton depot at 9am and work flat out to complete her delivery run around Longton and Dresden by 6pm six days a week.
